FAQ's

Can I really make 12 meals in 2 hours?
Absolutely! Upon your arrival, we have everything that you need to prepare your selected meals. All ingredients are chopped, sliced, diced and ready for assembly. All you need to do is follow our easy instructions. We'll even clean up for you!
What if I don't know how to cook or I'm not very good at it?
No problem! We make the assembly process very simple by providing easy-to-follow recipes at each station. No prior cooking experience is necessary. Our friendly & well-trained staff are available throughout your session to answer questions and assist you in any way.
What do I need to bring with me when I come to the store?
You'll need a large cooler or laundry basket to transport your meals home. While you are assembling them, your meals will be stored in our large refrigerator until all meals are done.
What is the cost for the meals?
We offer two packages: 6 meals or 12 meals. The 6 meal package costs $135. Additional meals can be added to your order for $22.50 each. The twelve meal package costs $235. Additional meals can be added to your order for $19.75 each.
How many people will each entrée feed?
Each entrée typically feeds 4-6 people, depending on the appetite.
What if I have a smaller family or am single?
Most entrées can be split into 2 smaller portions, each feeding 2-3 people. One exception for this feature are crock pot recipes. The results will not be as desirable or as predictable, therefore, we do not recommend it.
If an entrée sounds particularly yummy, can I order more than one in a session?
In most cases, up to 2 entrées may be ordered. Some items are limited to one per session based on their higher cost.
What if I am entertaining and need more than 2 of the same entrée?
Making your life easier is our goal! We can help you plan your party and will accommodate your needs. Simply contact us directly and we’d be happy to help!
What should I wear?
We recommend that you dress casually. While much of the prep work is done prior to your arrival, you will still be assembling your meals. We do provide aprons & gloves but leave your heels & pearls at home. We also recommend that you tie your hair back.
Can I reschedule my session if "life happens"?
If you cannot make your session for any reason, we recommend the following options:

  1. Use our calendar to reschedule your session with the same menu items.
  2. Change your order to a Stand-In Chef pick up order. We'll prepare your meals for you for an additional fee. You can schedule to pick them up when it is convenient for you.

Can I cancel my session?
You can cancel your scheduled session up to 4 days prior to your appointment and will receive a complete refund. If you cancel in fewer than 4 days, you will be refunded your total order amount less a $30 cancellation fee.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover & American Express. We also accept debit cards & personal checks. Personal checks must be received 5 days prior to your scheduled session and there is a $15 charge for returned checks.
Are the meals kid-friendly?
We do our best to make all of our meals family friendly. Every entrée is taste-tested to ensure its quality. We strive to offer a wide variety of meals each month so that you have options. The beauty of this service is that you can omit an ingredient if you know that it is does not suit your family's taste. Don't like mushrooms? Just leave them out. Trying to watch your salt intake? Cut the recommended amount in half. Not sure about spicy foods? Spice it up or spice it down according to your taste.
What if someone in my family has a food allergy?
Please let us know of any food allergies when you register. Many of our recipes do contain common allergens such as milk and nuts so knowing your specific needs will help us serve you and we can adjust accordingly. We can supply you with a list of each entrées ingredients for your review.
Can I bring my children with me for my session?
For the enjoyment of all participants during a session and for the safety of the children, we ask that children be at least 11 years of age if attending. Occasionally, we will offer special parent/child sessions for children younger than 11. Please check our calendar or simply call the store.
How far in advance do I need to schedule a session?
Sessions are closed to new reservations 48 hours prior to the session time.
How often do the menus change?
We offer a new menu with 14 new selections every month.
What if I absolutely love a meal and want to have it again after the menu for the next month is started?
You can check with us to see if we have any in our freezer inventory. We will be keeping the most popular dishes on hand for immediate sale. Just call us!
How do I reserve a session?
You can reserve a spot three ways: use our on-line calendar, you can all us & we'll schedule a session for you or you can visit our store & we'd be happy to schedule your session.
What should I do in preparation of my session?
You need to make sure that you have ample freezer space for the entrees that you'll be bringing home. Depending on the number of meals that you make, you'll need between 1 & 1½ shelves to accommodate your food.
